The reason we’re successful, darling? My overall charisma, of course — Freddie Mercury
I went to watch Bohemian Rhapsody some days ago and wow, I felt mind-blown after watching it. I like many of Queen songs but I couldn’t say that I am a mega-huge fan, so I don’t know how accurate the storytelling is.
I read afterwards that the events were not showed in the order in which they happened and that some scenes that never happened were added. Even though, I absolutely loved the movie. I don’t think it was meant to be a documentary, but rather an entertaining story of one of the most iconic bands in the world.
The movie was really moving, it contains comedy, tragedy and it has a wonderful soundtrack. It made me laugh and it made me cry. And sometimes both in the same time. The movie takes you through a rollercoaster of emotions.
Rami Malek’s performance was excellent. He brings Freddie back to life. Not only him but all the actors played great. I think that my favorite part is the live aid recreation. It was really amazing and made me wish I was there.
From my point of view, Bohemian Rhapsody is a must see for both movie and music lovers and of course, for Queen fans so my advice is to ignore the criticism and go see it for yourself.
